Become a Master of your Craft

Over the 12 week course, you will work with Stage & the City’s Musical Director Jack Holliday and choreographer Rebecca Dyer who will guide you through a selection of musical theatre numbers, working on the essential components of singing, acting and dance.

For this upcoming Summer term you will be exploring the Two Stephens’. Choreographer Stephen Mear (Singing in the Rain) and the infamous works of Stephen Sondheim (West Side Story, Sweeny Todd, Into the Woods). For the final few weeks of term you will be workshopping small segments of multiple contrasting musical theatre numbers, learning a new number for each remaining week.

You will develop the skills needed to perform in a musical and what it takes to keep an audience entertained. This is a great way to develop upon skills already learned in our Introduction to Musical Theatre Classes, or an alternative beginners course elsewhere, and take your talent to the next level! However, you are welcome to join this course even if you haven’t done an introduction course.
