“Make believe you’re brave and the trick will take you far. You may be as brave as you make believe you are!” Anna-The King and I

This course will be delivered each Wednesday evening for one and a half  hours and is the next step up from our Introduction to Musical Theatre course. However, you are welcome to join this course even if you haven’t done the Intro course; this is a longer weekly session compared to our Intro course so we can get you up to speed. For those that have already completed a Beginners course with Stage & the City, or an alternative elsewhere, you may wish to consider auditioning for our Musical Theatre Troupe.

Over the 10 weeks for this winter term you will work with Stage & the City’s Musical Director Jack Holliday and choreographer Rebecca Dyer who will guide you through a selection of musical theatre numbers, working on the essential components of acting, singing and dance, to create a number that can be included in the Stage & the City Charity Showcase this December, working on improving and developing your essential components of acting, singing and dance.

Sign up for our Winter term for the chance to perform at our Stage & the City Charity Showcase in December!

You will develop the skills needed to perform in a musical and what it takes to keep an audience entertained. This is a great fun and fabulous way to develop upon skills already learned in our Intro to Musical Theatre Classes and take your talent to the next level!

All of our classes are taught in a fun and supportive environment. Most of the singing will be done as a group but there are opportunities for solos!
