Well, Stage & the City (and particularly the Musical Theatre Classes) has been a huge injection of fun, challenge, new friendships and a lot of learning about myself over the past year. The dedicated and talented practitioners really care about what they do, and how we learn/explore new skills which brings out the best in everyone. The classes are very professional, hilariously fun and delivered in ways that reach and develop every member. If you need something to lift you from constant work/pressure and want to have fun, meet others, learn skills and develop more confidence then the courses will deliver this!”

“I’ve been a member of the Stage & the City Musical Theatre Company for one term now, and I absolutely love it! The teacher, Harveen, is incredibly professional and experienced as both a performer and a teacher. She is also very bubbly and friendly, making everybody feel comfortable and confident. She gives every student one-on-one feedback which the whole group is able to learn from as well as working on group numbers. It’s perfect for anybody with some performance training who is looking to pursue it around work hours and boost their confidence, make friends and have fun! I would 100% recommend it.”

“Two years ago I was looking for something to do for one evening a week just for me, and came across Stage & the City. I started off with City Singers and this year added Acting for Beginners because they are both on the same night. The teachers are great and very supportive of all the students. The thing I love most about it is that it is a safe space for me to sing my heart out or become an accomplished actor (my view). The students are totally diverse and we are all pushed to do our best and step out of our comfort zone as much or as little as we choose.”

“There can’t be a warmer or more fun place to learn to act, sing or dance in London than Stage & the City! From Anna herself to all the tutors, you’re made to feel welcome from the moment you enter the building and the enthusiasm and attentiveness of the staff is infectious. I was part of the Musical Theatre Company and it really was a wonderful experience. Great teaching, great people and it gave me my first opportunity to sing on stage to an audience. As a person with zero previous experience, I can also recommend the dance beginners class!”

“Stage & the City opened up my eyes to a whole new skill I never knew I had. I’ve been progressed through the Acting Courses and now I’m involved in the Acting Company, working towards a play. I’ve loved every minute, every week. It’s the one thing I really look forward each week to push whatever boundaries I thought I had. Along the way I’ve been able to make whole new group of friends from all types of backgrounds young & old, which is the icing on the cake. On top of that, it’s definitely armed me with confidence levels to throw myself in situations I’d never have the confidence to do before. 11/10 recommend to anyone.”
