Liam is extremely passionate and active in theatre, film and television and believes strongly in its ability to educate, entertain, and empower. He originally trained as an actor at the Drama Centre, London and now splits his time between acting coaching, writing, and directing.

Our Beginners Acting Course offers an introduction to acting in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Ideal for those in the early stages of their performing career with little or no acting experience, this beginner’s acting course provides the chance to explore acting techniques in a playful, accessible and practical way.

Priceless Acting Tips For Beginners

Explore the fundamentals of acting in this practical course, designed for people with little or no experience of acting. Increase your confidence and discover your potential in a safe and supportive environment filled to the brim with practical acting tips for beginners and tricks.

We firmly believe in the value of Acting and Drama Courses for developing life skills, irrespective of whether you want to pursue acting in a sustained way.

Acting tips for beginners and techniques are transferable to your working and social life, enhancing communication – learning about yourself and how you relate to others – building confidence and developing your imagination and creativity.

Our acting courses are planned to offer a progression through the levels of Beginners, Improvers to Advanced. You will receive guidance from your acting coach but in general, we recommend that students take each level twice, with different teachers, before progressing to the next level. You will not repeat any content and will be challenged with new skills and acting techniques.

Specific skills you will learn this term include: Understanding a script, Building a character, Basic stagecraft.

  • WEEK ONE – The scene – obtaining the facts
  • WEEK TWO –Immediate circumstance – breaking down the text
  • WEEK THREE –Playing intentions – understand the character need
  • WEEK FOUR– Characteristics – how to embody them and use as a tool
  • WEEK FIVE – Who is in the text? How to extract the character from the text
  • WEEK SIX – Putting it together to find the person behind the character
  • WEEK SEVEN– Physical life – animal work
  • WEEK EIGHT– Learning the lines – tips and tricks
  • WEEK NINE– Rehearsal – blocking
  • WEEK TEN – Rehearsal – how to create a strong relationship in a scene
  • WEEK ELEVEN-Play the scene – with freedom
