HARRISON ROSE Harrison has performed on UK Tours, on the West End and Internationally, most recently completing a season of Shakespeare – performing as Hamlet. Harrison is also a Playwright who has written for multiple scratch nights before his debut full-length play (Fox) was programmed at The Old Red Lion Theatre in London in 2017 He trained at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama on the MA acting program and is a passionate and dedicated acting coach, putting his professional experience to good use.

Looking to boost confidence, trust your voice and step into the world of acting? In this 6-week acting for beginners course you will be establishing the skills from first term, but don’t worry if you’re new to us, because you can fit right in and understand how to take re-direction, work on scenes from contemporary plays, build characters and add new skills to your acting process including, tackling complex characters emotions, understanding intention and working on presenting place and events in a script.

Led by acclaimed producer and actor, Harrison Rose who trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and has extensive experience on the West End, International Tours and much, much more you will be in highly experienced hands.

Course Content

  • Vocal techniques in resonance, diction and diaphragmatic breathing
  • Physical exercises to teach posture, pose and body confidence
  • Learn from the masters and delve into techniques from great practitioners such as Brecht, Stanislavski and Pinter
  • Work on scenes from contemporary plays
  • Build characters and add new skills to your acting process
  • Learn alignment and movement skills
  • Improvisation and devising tools to sharpen your wit and aptitude to think quickly

In term two you will be learning professional practice techniques such as writing and pitching.

This course will take place on Thursdays 6.30pm – 8.30pm,  25th February- 1st April. ALL profits from this course will go towards Saving the Anna Fiorentini Kids Charity Theatre School.
