Overview

What is it?

This is an exciting opportunity for young performers to gain an insight into the entertainment industry. A timetable of bespoke workshops led by top industry professionals will help prepare young performers and teach them how to land performing jobs. Workshops will include audition technique, self-taping and marketing yourself as a business. The week will culminate with a mock audition panel in which applicants will have been selected from the preceding workshops.

With the chance to get representation from the respected Fiorentini Mosson Agency and on-going support from the award-winning Anna Fiorentini Theatre & Film School, this is a unique and not-to-be-missed opportunity.

Workshops

These workshops will help you prep a monologue to have in your toolkit. These monologues are necessary for drama school auditions and useful to have up your sleeve for when called upon. It will look at technique, characters, classic style and verse, and how to choose a speech.

Using some TV and Film scripts, this workshop will explore the technical terms and methods used in the industry, how to prep for auditions and create self-tapes, and what happens after you book the job.

This workshop incorporates work on commercial auditions and self-tapes, looking at technique, set-up, content and how to shoot on a budget.

In this workshop, you will look at the business side of acting and being self-employed. This includes how to write emails, build and run your Spotlight page/CV, and how to manage self-assessment and taxes. It will also cover the importance of looking after your wellbeing and mental health in this often fluctuating business.

Led by our founder and principal, this workshop will guide you on how to raise vital funds to support the launch of your career, pay for training and headshots.

There will also be a Q& A session with Fiorentini Mosson Agency clients who will detail the challenges and rewards of their time in the industry. It will be a great opportunity to have questions answered from Young Performers in the know.
