Jack Holliday Jack has performed professionally for a number of years, alongside his teaching career and photography business. He first started his career in pantomimes around the midlands, he went on to perform around the country in musical theatre and concert based performances, including touring the country performing as ‘Harry Styles’ in the UK’s number 1 ‘One Direction’ tribute act. He graduated from one of the top teaching universities in the country, graduating while it held the number 1 spot for most employable and best teaching based degree, studying Drama in the Community. He is a vocal coach and creative director who has directed over 60 productions in his career.

Other credits include: Annas (Understudy Jesus & Judas) in Jesus Christ Superstar, Chris in Miss Saigon, The Baker in Into the Woods, Corny Collins in Hairspray, Grantaire in Les Misérables, Alan Strang in Equus
Musical Direction credits include: Addams Family, Aladdin, Annie, Fame!, Footloose, Grease, Hairspray, Into the Woods, Joseph and the Amazing Technicoloured Dreamcoat, Legally Blonde, Mamma Mia, Peter Pan, Oliver!, Singing in the Rain, Thoroughly Modern Millie, West Side Story, The Wizard of OZ, 13 the Musical and many more.

City Singers is Stage & the City’s vocal class; bringing a combination of technical knowledge about the mechanics of your voice and an sing along in many genre’s.

Eventually this company will perform at all of Stage & the City’s showcases (including the Stage & the City Showcase this December), fundraisers, take part in flash mobs, and also private events.

This class is open to both men and women over 18 years old from all backgrounds who love singing and want to be part of a fun and talented group of like-minded people who just want to use their voice! All we ask is that you are able to sing in tune!

Weekly singing classes led by a professional singing coach. Improve vocal techniques, performance skills, how to harmonise as a new group and how to protect your voice whilst singing.

Course Content:

  • Learn to harmonise as a new group
  • Understanding your vocal health and how to protect your instrument
  • Understanding where/how your voice fits in a choir
  • Develop important performance skills to gain confidence and presence on stage
  • Exploring new arrangements of a variety of genre’s as we’ll be aiming to do a section of a different track every other week

City Singers will meet on Tuesdays 6.30pm – 7.45pm,  18th January 2022- 5th April. ALL profits from this course will go towards Saving the Anna Fiorentini Kids Charity Theatre School.
