In this exclusive masterclass from Stage & the City, grab your chance to tackle Shakespeare with the ultimate King, Joseph Marcell (Fresh Prince of Bel Air, RSC’s Othello, RSC’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream). Joseph’s experience with Shakespeare is staggering, from working with the Royal Shakespeare Company to being a current member on the board of Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London where he featured in a nationwide production of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing and King Lear. You really are in the hands of an elite actor and director!

In this 2-hour Zoom workshop with Joseph you will need to come armed with a monologue from either A Midsummer Night’s Dream or Julius Caesar and Joseph will be working with you one-to-one, so you come away with a refined, thoroughly worked through monologue. You’ll also be workshopping scenes from these two ground-breaking plays.

Whether you want to learn from a Master, escape into Shakespeare or work your monologue into gold – this is a masterclass not to be missed!

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work with an Acting God and places are extremely limited, we expect them to sell out quickly. If you’re new to Shakespeare, having an angling to act or are a trained professional – this masterclass has you covered.

This masterclass will be a mixture of one-to-ones, group and scene work, workshopping scenes with direction and a Q&A.

This workshop will take place online on Zoom 7pm until 9pm.
