Great Experience, Lovely staff, had a blast!!! Definitely worth signing up for 🙂
Great courses, great people, no experience necessary and everyone is always so willing to help. Currently doing the Musical Theatre course and even got to perform at the Hackney Empire, Anna and her team are friendly and will help discuss all the courses to find which is best for you.
Last year when I was desperate to return to theatre after a 10 year hiatus I set about looking for an adult school and I found Stage and the City. From the wonderful support to the stage plays…everything about it is quality and it has enabled me through some tough personal times whilst making new friends. I would certainly recommend it!
Stage & the City is an amazing place to grow my passion for musical theatre and grow as a performer – professional but fun environment with a great group of people and teaches who are pro’s! Love being part of the company too – such a creative and dynamic space to improve skills and work towards performances!

Does it not feel like life can be ‘all work’ most of the time? Whether it is being employed, seeking employment, raising children or just managing our own selves……..well Stage in The City and particularly the Musical Theatre Classes has been a huge injection of fun, challenge, new friendships and a lot of learning about myself over the past year. Dedicated and talented practitioners at SATC really care about what they do and really care about how we learn and explore new skills and this brings out the best in everyone. The classes are very professional, hilariously fun and delivered in ways that reach and develop every member. If you need something to lift you from constant work/pressure and want to have fun, meet others, learn skills and develop more confidence then SATC will deliver all this…….and so much more. Get yourself along to one of the ‘Taster Days’ you will wish you did it years ago!!
Attending classes at Stage and the City is worth the money. I have had so much fun and made new friends. I would recommend the Intermediate and Screen Acting courses. The sessions are very informative and professional. Thank you Anna, Claire and Harveen for opening my eyes.
Stage and the City is great!
I have been doing musical theatre with them and have really enjoyed the experience despite being new to it all. It’s a great environment to grow and the teaching is of high quality.

Excellent classes provided by talented and energetic teachers. I have been on the comedy acting course for more than a year and have learned a lot and met lots of fun and lovely people along the way. A great way to spend an evening, would highly recommend. Also very nice that the proceeds from the courses go towards funding acting classes for underprivileged kids!
I’ve been a member of the Stage & the City Musical Theatre Company for one term now, and I absolutely love it! The teacher, Harveen, is incredibly professional and experienced as both a performer and a teacher. She is also very bubbly and friendly, making everybody feel comfortable and confident. She gives every student one-on-one feedback which the whole group is able to learn from as well as working on group numbers. It’s perfect for anybody with some performance training who is looking to pursue it around work hours and boost their confidence, make friends and have fun! I would 100% recommend it.
Two years ago I was looking for something to do for one evening a week just for me, and came across Stage & The City. I started off with City Singers and this year added Acting for Beginners because they are both on the same night. The teachers are great and very supportive of all the students. The thing I love most about it is that it is a safe space for me to sing my heart out or become an accomplished actor (my view). The students are totally diverse and we are all pushed to do our best and step out of our comfort zone as much or as little as we choose. I absolutely love my Tuesday evenings and will be back in September

There can’t be a warmer or more fun place to learn to act, sing or dance in London than Stage and the City! From Anna herself to all the tutors, you’re made to feel welcome from the moment you enter the building and the enthusiasm and attentiveness of the staff is infectious. I was part of the Musical Theatre Company and it really was a wonderful experience. Great teaching, great people and it gave me my first opportunity to sing on stage to an audience. As a person with zero previous experience, I can also recommend the dance beginners class!
Stage & the City opened up my eyes to a whole new skill I never knew I had. I’ve been through the Acting for Beginners, then Intermediates and now I’m involved in the Acting Company, working towards a play.
I’ve loved every minute, every week. It’s the one thing I really look forward each week to push whatever boundaries I thought I had. Along the way I’ve been able to make whole new group of friends from all types of backgrounds young & old, which is the icing on the cake.
On top of that, it’s definitely armed me with confidence levels to throw myself in situations I’d never have the confidence to do before. 11/10 recommend to anyone.
I have attended the singing classes and am currently attending the acting for beginners classes and …. I loved and I’m loving it! The teachers are really good and talented and the classes are both fun and formative! A great, relaxing and creative way to de stress from a busy full on day!
I highly recommend Stage & the city.
I have been following Screen acting classes for the past 12 weeks and I could not recommend the course more. Shaun is a fantastic teacher who is able to challenge and motivate his students while holding a fun and relaxed space where everyone feels welcome and included.
