AGENCY NEWS: No Small Feat for our Clients as Small Axe Leads BAFTA TV Nominations

We are pleased to share the very exciting news that BBC’s Small Axe, a television series that three of our agency clients took part in, has been nominated for 15 BAFTA TV Awards!

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts celebrates the best talent and programmes from the small screen. This year, Sir Steve McQueen‘s landmark anthology series about the lives of the West Indian community in London from the 1960s to the 1980s leads the field with 15 nominations. This includes Best Mini Series, Leading Actor for John Boyega and Shaun Parkes, and Leading Actress for Letitia Wright.

Our clients Xavien Russell (Top Boy, Me & Mrs Jones, The Watchman) appeared in the Alex Wheatle episode, Jaden Oshenye (The Bodyguard UK & International tours and in the West End, RSC’s Macbeth at the Barbican) appeared in the Red, White & Blue episode, and marking his professional debut, Nathan Moses starred in the Education episode.

We are extremely proud that our clients are not only part of this sensational series, but that the series has been received so well by critics and audiences alike. Last month, the series even took home a Golden Globe. A huge congratulations to Xavien, Jaden and Nathan, who all trained at the Anna Fiorentini Theatre & Film School and are all now represented by the Fiorentini Mosson Agency.

If this has inspired you to tread the boards and train at a London acting school, take a look at the schools and the classes we offer here or drop us an email at hello@afperformingarts.com. We have a few spaces left for this term!

And if you would like to catch up on this critically acclaimed series, you can find it on BBC iPlayer.
