Five Festive Theatre Outings

It’s that time of year – twinkling lights are on, the temperature has dropped, and Last Christmas is playing on the radio. It’s Festive Season! There are lots of magical things to do in London this time of year but we’ve rounded up some of the festive theatre outings the town has to offer.

Pantoland | London Palladium

If you love pantomime, Pantoland at The Palladium is the place to be this Christmas! Celebrating the very best of pantomime, this hilarious pantomime is perfect for family and friends for the festive season. With fantastic sets, incredible costumes and big show-stopping numbers, this is the ultimate feel-good show – oh yes it is!

A Christmas Carol | The Old Vic

For the fifth year in a row, the Old Vic’s ‘A Christmas Carol’ is returning to the stage. This timeless story based on the Charles Dickens novel is staged in the round with the cast roaming the stalls handing out mince pies and clementines before the lights dim. This joyous and atmospheric show will leave you feeling festive.

Frozen | Drury Lane Theatre

The weather is certainly getting colder, but don’t miss the hottest show in town – Frozen! Based on the family favourite film, the set design, special effects, costumes and all the songs we know and love come together in a breathtaking experience. You’re sure to get chills seeing this performance, but in a good way!

The Snowman | The Peacock Theatre

Enchanting audiences for 23 years, this stage adaption of Raymond Briggs’ much-loved book is a festive favourite. Its spectacular blend of great storytelling, live music, dance, spectacle and magic make it a must-see this time of year.

The Nutcracker | London Coliseum

This magical Christmas story is brought to life with over 100 dancers and musicians performing. With exquisite dancing, beautiful sets and Tchaikovsky’s popular score played live, The Nutcracker is an unforgettable treat perfect for this time of year.
