Stage & The City to launch its hugely popular acting classes in Hackney

Stage & The City, the adult branch of the award-winning Anna Fiorentini Theatre & Film School, is getting ready for the Hackney launch of two of its most popular creative classes for adults – Acting for Beginners and Acting for Confidence. Launching in January 2023, both classes will run on Tuesday nights and are perfect for anyone who wants to build their self-esteem and confidence through performance, or even take the first exciting step towards a career in the industry. 

Acting For Beginners

Acting for Beginners is a 12-week course that gives students an excellent introduction to some of the core principles of acting, including storytelling, improvisation, and ensemble work. Led by experienced industry professionals, the course provides a solid foundation for adults who have always wanted to perform and are looking for a way to build up their toolkit of acting skills in a relaxed, fun environment. No experience is necessary, and whether or not students go on to further study in the performing arts, they leave with invaluable life skills and new-found confidence, not to mention lifelong friends.

Acting For Confidence

Acting for Confidence is the ideal course for anyone ready to start showing up as the most confident, authentic, and engaging version of themselves. It’s about finding your voice on every level and feeling grounded and confident in the way you present yourself, whether you’re delivering a talk at work or engaging with people in a social setting.

Acting skills are powerful tools for life, and having the ability to master your voice, your emotions, and the way you connect with everyone around you can truly be transformational. 

In both 12-week courses, the emphasis is on having fun and developing as both a human being and a performer. Places are limited to ensure that each student gets the opportunity to fully explore their creativity and get the most from their time in the class.

All ages over 18 are welcome. You’re never too old to try something new!
